Immune-related genes are associated with the development of the rare cancer ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC), new research has found.

A new combination of targeted drugs for a type of ovarian cancer has shown promising results in an early clinical trial – shrinking tumours in half of patients.

Almost half of patients who received a targeted drug during treatment for newly diagnosed BRCA-mutated advanced ovarian cancer remain disease free after five years, according to a study led by The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
